The Love Food Fest 2015 Montreal Getaway Contest commences on August 18, 2015 and ends on September 18, 2015 with entries to be submitted by 11:59:59 p.m. EST on September 18, 2015 (the “Contest Closing Date”).


No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.  A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.


To Enter the Contest with Love Food Fest 2015 Ticket Purchase:

Eligible ticket buyers to Love Food Fest 2015 will automatically receive one (1) entry for each ticket purchased through, or (each and collectively, the “Official Website”) or by phone, call 416 644 1016.


Ticket buyers must provide their full names, completed addresses, telephone numbers with area code and valid email addresses as part of their ticket purchase to receive an Entry for the Contest.


To Enter Contest without Love Food Fest 2015 Ticket Purchase.

To enter the Contest without purchasing a Love Food Fest 2015 ticket, entrants should send a hand written request by mail to: Action Against Hunger Canada, 720 Bathurst St. Suite 500. Toronto, ON M5S 2R4.  Attn:  Love Food Fest Montreal Getaway.  Your request must be legibly hand written in ink on a 8.5”x11” piece of paper and must include your full name, completed address, telephone number with area code, and valid email address.   Requests that utilize photocopies, address labels, stickers that are photocopied, hand-stamped, computer generated, or otherwise mechanically produced or reproduced or that are not written manually in ink, fail to comply with entry qualifications and as such will not be considered a valid entry.


Upon receipt of a valid entry request, you will receive one (1) entry into the contest.  Limit one (1) FREE entry per week.


One (1) winner will be selected to receive the Prize as defined here by Action Against Hunger Canada from among all eligible entries received in a random draw conducted at the offices of Action Against Hunger Canada in Toronto, Ontario at or around 11am EST on October 20, 2015. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date.


The Prize consists of a vacation package provided by VIA Rail Canada and Sofitel Montreal with a value of $1630, One thousand six hundred and thirty dollars and zero cents. (The “Prize”). It is the winner’s responsibility to provide for any additional expenses not included in the Prize as described herein including, but not limited to, additional ground transportation, meals, gratuities, room service, taxes and insurance.   The Prize will be sent to the winner by Canada Post Xpress Post to address provided by the winner. Prize must be claimed (meaning the winner must confirm receipt of the hard-copy travel and hotel vouchers) no later than December 1st 2015.

Action Against Hunger Canada, at its discretion, may substitute any Prize for equal or greater value, without notification. The Prize cannot be combined with other offers. Prize must be accepted as awarded, and no substitution may be made by the winner.

The winner will be notified by email and /or phone sometime before October 23, 2015. As a condition of receiving the Prize, the winner must sign the ‘Declaration and Release’ form, which will be sent by e-mail, accepting the Prize as awarded and consenting to the use of his or her name and photos to be taken and used, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by Action Against Hunger Canada. If the winner cannot be reached within 10 days, or fails to complete and return the required contest documents within 10 days after the document is sent, they will forfeit the Prize and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected by another draw on November 20, 2015.


Action Against Hunger Canada is collecting, using and disclosing personal data about entrants solely for the purpose of administering this Contest. By entering this Contest, entrants consent to Action Against Hunger Canada’s collection, use and disclosure of their personal data for the administration of this Contest. Action Against Hunger Canada will not share entrant information provided on entry forms with third parties except as needed to administer the contest which will include, among other things, running the contest and promoting its results. No further marketing communications will be received by entrants unless entrants provide Action Against Hunger Canada with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the Declaration and Release form. Such consent may be withdrawn at any time.


Contest is open to all residents of Ontario who have reached the age of majority – excluding employees, families or affiliates (or those with whom they are domiciled) of Action Against Hunger Canada. Entrants must correctly answer, unaided, the skill testing question on the ‘Declaration and Release’ form to be eligible for the prize.

If for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned due to an Act of God, an act of terrorism or due to a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Action Against Hunger Canada reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process (if applicable), and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the Prize using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of the termination/suspension date. Action Against Hunger Canada assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Action Against Hunger Canada also is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions, failure or delay of any entry including but not limited to the processing of entries to be received by Action Against Hunger Canada on account of technical problems or human error. By entering the Contest, you, as a participant, agree, represent and warrant to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Action Against Hunger Canada and its subsidiaries and affiliates and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders and agents from any and all liability, loss, damage or injuries to any person (including death) or property of any kind sustained in connection with your participation in the Contest or from your acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of the Prize, or for any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of the Prize.  You further acknowledge that (1) said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prize, including, but not limited to, its quality or fitness for a particular purpose. You waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules and (2) Action Against Hunger Canada has the right, in its sole discretion but subject to any jurisdiction in this respect of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (the “Board”) to modify any portion of the Official Rules or to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the Contest.

By entering the Contest, you agree that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (2) any and all claims, judgments & awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain any award for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. If any provisions of the Rules are determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE PROCESSING SYSTEM OR UNDERMINE THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.  SHOULD AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, ACTION AGAINST HUNGER CANADA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT BY LAW.
